Feat: rolling over back to front
Witness: Daddy

Just in time for daddy to return to work from paternity leave. I'm sad I was in another room and missed it, but I'm glad John got to witness it. Elizabeth actually looked proud of herself, I think.

Elizabeth has found her hands and arms. She likes to wave her arms like she's a bird trying to fly. She grasps items now, which is adorable if its your hand or her own hand. Also cute if its a toy...until she starts flying again and bangs herself in the head with that toy. Sad and loud if its a handful of her own hair.

Learning from Big Sis

Doesn't she just look like she is in awe of her big sister?

Two Months Old!

Elizabeth has her two month baby check yesterday. The shots, which would have made an eventful day on their own, were overshadowed by an explosive diaper in the carseat on the trip to drop big sister at preschool. I should have known something was up because the ride to school that morning was one of rare silence (normally Elizabeth is a carseat screamer.) I guess warm poop is pretty comfy to sit in and kept her quiet for the ride. I pulled her out of her seat and my arm was covered! Luckily, a classmate of Caroline's and his mom were near us in the parking lot, so I sent Caroline in with them while I went and cleaned up the baby and myself. Caroline had her own explosive diaper at about this same age.

The Stats:
Weight: 12 lbs 15.5 oz (95%)
Height: 23 1/4 in. (90%)
Head Cir: 39.5 cm (75%)
Two pokes and a syringe of yucky gunk to drink

Yay for Spring

I'm thankful for spring weather that allows Elizabeth to wear some of my favorite summer baby Caroline hand-me-downs.
