She gets it. The whole shebang -- knock on a door (or just walk up as many of our neighbors were in their driveways or doorways), say Ti or Tee, get some candy, say Ta' Oo. Repeat. And she insisted on opening several candies and taking only one bite. There were just too many choices! And she sure threw a fit when I put the candy-stuffed pumpkin away. I'm a little worried that the Halloween Fairy deal might not go over as easily with this one as it does with her sister.

Potty Girl

Elizabeth seems to prefer the potty to diapers (but I am not ready to potty-train a not-quite-two-year-old. That is too much work for mama, rushing around every public place you go to take a little one to the bathroom!) If we are at home (or at friends' houses with potties in sight), Elizabeth removes her diaper and uses it -- she seems to manage both pee and poop, but not with 100 percent regularity. Often enough to impress me, though! :-)

She was having some diaper-free play time one morning, and I laughed as I watched her walk, butt-cheeks clinched to her potty, sit down, and poop. Yay! (She claps for herself when finished. And she takes her own potty to dump in the toilet, so I have to keep a close eye on that to avoid icky mishaps.)

Front Page!

Our little dragon's picture made the front page of Cedar Park's newspaper. We're so proud. Thanks to some friends, I have copies for all the grandparents and aunts who want one. :-)

Flu Shot

Poppy got to witness Mary Elizabeth's reaction to her flu shot on Friday.

Not a peep!

We have a great nurse, and I think the girl has a high pain tolerance (like her sister, not her mama.)

with the pics to prove it.

Babysitters Club (v2)

We had our first babysitting coop gathering today at a friend's home. Two moms, five toddlers, once a week (the other three moms get a break for 2.5 hours!) They all did great. (I did a babysitting coop when Caroline was a toddler, too.)

First Roller Coaster Ride

Mary Elizabeth rode her first roller coaster today -- The Texas Splashdown at Sea World -- aka the log ride. She LOVED it! (Poppy snapped a pic, so hopefully I can get access to that soon.)

The dragon at Fable Fest

I bought this dragon costume way back in November of 2004, in the early months of my pregnancy with Caroline, before anyone but John, me and my doctor even knew, for about two dollars on Halloween clearance at Kohls. Caroline wore it to a Rennaissance Festival when she was two, and Elizabeth wore it today to the Cedar Park Library's Fable Fest. It is the perfect festival costume! Elizabeth's was accessorized at the festival with fire-breath face painting.

First Salon Bangs Trim

She took it very seriously but enjoyed it enough that she didn't want to get out of the car.

Soccer Sister

She watched from the sidelines for a bit, but ended up spending most of the game in the nearby sand pit or watching the ducks.
