Poor Baby!

I locked Elizabeth in the car today, in a rainstorm, for about 15 minutes. I do think the rain was a big factor in the chaos cauing her to get locked in--I guess I ran to her side to get her out thinking I'd grab my purse after I had her and somehow, in the chaos, locked the doors. I ran into the small store I was stopped at and asked for her phone. I ran outside and called John to bring the keys and then just stood by the door window and sang to Elizabeth while she cried. I was soaked pretty quickly, but the rain stopped before John got there. When I pulled Elizabeth out, I hugged and kissed her and apologized. She reached away from me for John. "Mommy's wet!"

But she was fine and all (except my being wet) was quickly forgotten.

Trick or Treat

Elizabeth just brought me a valentine and said "Trick or Treat!"

Such a fun age!

I really love all the personality and learning that comes with two!

Elizabeth loves to sing. Caroline and I (and Elizabeth) watched the Sound of Music together last week, and Elizabeth sings along with the movie now and belts out Do Re Mi on her own throughout the day.

She likes to pass the Peace, shaking your hand and say "Piss" (or so it sounds.) She is usually in the nursery at our chuch during that time, but after visiting Sacred Heart in Wichita Falls over Christmas, the passing of the Peace of the Lord has become a favorite activity of hers.

She used the potty at music class today. She's asked before during class, but we have never before made it from the circle, out the door, down the hall to the bathroom, into the stall, pulled down pants, and sat on the potty *before* she started peeing. Until today! :-)
