More tu studies

Posted by Picasa

We love science, and Elizabeth loves attention...er...new playmates, so we did another study today. This one with with the Children's Language Lab. Two puppets played a game with Elizabeth, where she was given two cards and had to choose the card the puppet named. One puppet said odd names for the cards, but Elizabeth chose one of the cards each time anyway. The other puppet used the right names, and Elizabeth played along. Then, she was asked to choose one of the puppets to build with blocks with her, and then choose one to answer a question for her (the name of an unusual object.) Elizabeth bucked what I think would be the assumed choice and picked the puppet that did not name the object cards correctly earlier. It could be that the second puppet had to keep reminding her not to roll the cards up, though, and she thought he was no fun.
